Sean Caisse Set For Return To Camping World East Series In 2010

Sean Caisse is returning to the division where twice championships have eluded him by one spot in the standings.

Caisse, a native of Pelham, N.H., announced Wednesday that he will return to the Camping World East Series full-time in 2010.

Caisse, a developmental driver for Richard Childress Racing, will compete on the Camping World East Series for Old Lyme car owner Ted Marsh with support from RCR.

Caisse finished second in the Camping World East Series standings to Mike Olsen in 2006 and then was runner-up to current Sprint Cup Series driver and Middletown native Joey Logano in 2007.

In 39 career starts in the division Caisse has seven career victories, all of them coming during his two runner-up seasons.

Caisse, 23, didn't make any starts in the series in 2008 and started one race last year, finishing seventh at South Boston (Va.) Speedway. Caisse made two starts last year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for RCR, finishing 29th at Nashville Superspeedway and 22nd at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He has also made seven starts in the ARCA RE/MAX Series over the last two seasons, winning last April at Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway.

Caisse will begin his foray with Marsh by running for him at the Toyota All-Star Showdown at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, Calif. on Jan. 30.
