STEPHEN LEICHT QUOTES:
Have you ever been to Iowa? “No I haven’t, but neither have most of the guys heading there this weekend. We get an extra day, like a test session, on Thursday which is huge. We’re looking to learn a lot from that session and we’re probably going to try some different things. It’s a big deal to get that opportunity to test.”
Have you talked with Austin Dillon, who has some experience at that track? “We talked a little this past week about the track, the tires, and a few other things. I think having him there this weekend will really help the RCR teams’ efforts as a whole. It’s always helpful to have a driver with experience on a new track to fall back on. The (Nos.) 2 and 29 teams will definitely work with each other the entire weekend to get our cars more competitive for the race. “
DOUG RANDOLPH (Crew Chief) QUOTE:
You head to a track that the Nationwide Series hasn’t raced at before. What’s the plan for the weekend? “On Thursday, we’re going to be looking to learn more about the track, but we’re not going to be concerned on where we are on the speed charts. We’re going to test various setups that we wouldn’t typically make during a race weekend. RCR’s Nationwide Series program tested a lot last year and in years past and I think having that eliminated this season hurt our program. Having a day like Thursday will help us, not only in Iowa, but with other tracks on the schedule. On Friday, we’ll try and get the car dialed in for the race.”
